MADISON: Following is the statement of United Wisconsin in response to the news of Scott Walker’s continued jobs failure
“As Scott Walker resorts to making up his own numbers about jobs in a desperate attempt to trick the people of Wisconsin, the truth of his failed leadership has once again shown itself.
Wisconsin lost an estimated 6,200 private sector jobs in the month of April, according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics. These are the jobs statistics used by all state governments in the United States.
It is clear that Scott Walker’s failed jobs agenda cannot be sugar-coated with millions in out-of-state corporate cash and his own fuzzy math. The people of this state see through Walker’s cynical attempt to deceive us. We know that the only job Scott Walker is focused on is his own.
On June 5th, Wisconsinites will elect new leadership for this state, and end the “divide and conquer” extremism of the Walker regime. In order to get Wisconsinites working again, this state must heal from the ideological assault on our values, which is the legacy of Scott Walker.”
United Wisconsin is an independent, grassroots organization of citizens restoring the Wisconsin tradition of democracy in action, and has led the effort to recall Scott Walker. For more information, visit our website at www.unitedwisconsin.com.
